Located less than two hours north of Toronto, and only 8 KM south of Parry Sound you will find Grand Tappattoo Resort nestled amongst 50 acres of natural birch and pine trees, surrounded by the clear waters of Otter Lake.

The Main Lodge and Cottages were opened in 1987. Between 1989 and 1997 several deluxe suite accommodations, a banquet hall, two fully appointed conference rooms and a spacious indoor pool and recreation complex were added. In all Grand Tappattoo has 53 hotel rooms, suites and fully equipped cottages.

The goal was to create a vacation resort which combines both the pleasant amenities of accommodations as well as top quality food and service, surrounded by overwhelming nature in the Canadian wilderness. Attention was paid to details such as fine furniture, balconies and decks overlooking the lake, and to our cuisine and service. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or to host a large wedding or event, we have you covered!

Ice Skating - During the winter when Otter Lake is frozen, we clear off a skating area for guests to use! So feel free to pack your skates this winter and join us for some fun on the lake!

Beach - We have amazing swimming at our sandy beach, which has shallow water making it safe as well as enjoyable for you and the young ones. There are plenty of lounge chairs available and the lawn is ready for ball games and fun with the kids.

Boating - We offer fishing boats with 9.9 hp motors. Pleasure Craft Operator Card is required for any guest to take out the fishing boats.

Otter Lake Boat Tour - We have on site a 26’ pontoon boat that is perfect for groups of up to 18 people. Enjoy the scenery and beauty that is Otter Lake. Very popular with group and corporate bookings!

Canoes and kayaks are completely free for our guests to use all summer. 

Recreation Complex - Our resort features a large indoor pool, sauna with picturesque seating area and a fitness centre.
