Heather Lodge is the perfect hide away for adults wishing to reconnect with their romantic significant and to enjoy the abundant natural beauty of the Haliburton Highlands. This unique lodge is casual, yet elegant combining charm and ambiance of an old lodge with the luxury of a modern times.

But the best part of the experience is by far the culinary delights created by Chef James, every meal is prepared with passion and served overlooking Twelve Mile Lake. Our diningroom is open everyday during the summer, Thurs, Fri, Sat nights from November to June by reservation in advance.

With over 270 feet of pristine waterfront on Twelve Mile Lake on a property with no more than 24 guests at a time, the experience is both intimate and relaxing.

With over 270 feet of pristine waterfront on Twelve Mile Lake on a property with no more than 24 guests at a time, the experience is both intimate and relaxing. In summer, enjoy waterfront activities include canoes, kayaks, SUP boards and a paddle boat with all the safety equipment for your use.

Twelve Mile Lake is known for the fishing. As there is a three lake chain up to Boshkung Lake, you can spend the day travelling to the best destination points to pull out a Small Mouth Bass or Pickerel. 

In winter, get outdoors!  The lodge offers experiences to our guests with snowshoe and cross country ski equipment included in your package, local trail pass fees will also apply.

Heather Lodges’ dining room offers adults a relaxing contemporary dining experience.   The dining room is set up into three seperate spaces, starting with our lakeview room (primarily reserved for in-house guests), our large dining room (great for groups of 4 persons or more) and an outdoor patio deck overlooking Twelve Mile Lake.  We are passionate about providing the highest level of service and cuisine, offering an authentic Niagara Wine list.  Every meal is a “culinary experience”, offering local products of produce; such as Abbey Garden’s fresh milled red fife pancakes and Wintergreen Maple Syrup, with flavours and presentation that will leave you fully satisfied. 

Heather Lodge is located in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands, making our lodge the perfect location to experience true Canadian topography.  Within 15 minutes from Heather Lodge are five golf courses, scenic log chutes and rapids, kayaking, hiking, and artisan studios.
